The Bang Bang Caravel 2
The second night of The Bang Bang Caravel programme was designated a Mystery Film Night, and may or may not have included short films by Walkland and The Mordavian Truth (2009), a documentary that explores the local LARP (Live Action Role Playing) community in Aotearoa New Zealand.
The Bang Bang Caravel was an immersive, multi-disciplinary series, presented as part of the Auckland Fringe Festival across four consecutive Saturdays, open to audiences on a koha (donation) basis. Taking inspiration from the classic variety show format, the Caravel featured a wonderfully strange collection of original theatre, live music, short film, visual art and unpredictable performances—all described as being “as curious as the sea”.
