i was here Portrait Booth at Artspace Aotearoa

Asked to participate in the Starving Artists Fund Fair 2008 at Artspace Aotearoa in August, Cross St Studios contributed the free-to-use i was here portrait booth, which turned out to be an event highlight.

The fair, organised by the Starving Artists Fund (S.A.F.) to nurture emerging artists, was a community-focused and low-brow gathering that included home brew tasting, raffles, a coconut shy, vegetable animal creating and badge making. It also featured contributions from other local artist-run initiatives—A Centre for Art, Craftwerk, Cuckoo, Gambia Castle, Newcall Gallery, Night Art School and RM103 (now RM)—as well as live music performances.
