draw 2

The second exhibition at Cross St Studios organised by Aleksandra Petrovic, draw 2 continued its exploration into drawing as a versatile medium—this time expanding beyond individual drawings, sketchbooks and loose ephemera to also include video, animation and printmaking.

Conceived as a "library" that blended pop culture with personal honesty and absurdity, this collection of works encouraged viewers to stitch together their own narrative and interpretations of the theme. Accompanying the show was a book-size catalogue with reprints of the exhibited artworks and a text by Rachel Redwood, which looked at drawing as a primal form of mark-making and non-verbal communication.
